A BAND SAW, lathe, and drill press are required to make this amusing little toy. The design can be drawn directly on the 13/4 inch hardwood stock, or on a piece of cardboard or veneer for a template. The wheels are turned on the lathe to shape shown in sketch below. Counterbore wheels with a 3/4 inch machine spur lit before drilling the holes for the round head wood screws. Paint wheels with flat black paint. The body, top, and loose dowels should be enameled in bright colors.
