Adirondack Style Folding Lawn Chair

Photo 1 shows band sawing the seat and back leg units.
Photo 2 shows assembly of adjustment suppors for back.
Photos 3 and 4 show front views of the chair.
* THE advantaqe of this desiqn is the foldinq action which allows you to fold the chair into a compact space for storaqe. The back pivots on a 3/4" dowel while the arms, front legs, and seat unit pivot on carriaqe bolts. The curved rails for the back are band sawed from 2 x 4" stock and the slats are screwed to these.
A 3/4" dowel is bolted to the bottom rai for the pivot. The chair is finished with two costs of linseed oil and then outside paint
