Photos No. 1 and No. 2 above show the completed wagon with turned wooden wheels in position. These wheels are made from three 1" boards glued together and turned as shown in the drawing and photo No. 5. Photo No. 4 shows the same wagon with steel, rubber-tired wheels and ball bearings. These wheels are available and are advertised through your local crafts magazines. * HERE is a large farm type coaster wagon that will provide the children with a great deal of fun. The wagon was made from hard wood such as maple or birch. The detailed drawing on the right shows the necessary dimensions and the construction and assembly methods. In the original model the bed and under-carriage of the wagon were painted with bright blue enamel and the slat sides and tongue were left natural wood and finished with several coats of white shellac.
